Cinema to Alcohol

Subtitled 'A Wetherspoon Wander', this afternoon event saw us visiting three of London's former cinemas which are now under the stewardship of pub chain JD Wetherspoon: Pyke's Cinematograph Theatre, Charing Cross Road; the Savoy/ABC/Coronet, Holloway Road and the Ponder's End Picture Palace.

As an added bonus, CTA member Barrie Gilbert, chief projectionist at the Odeon, Holloway Road, kindly showed us around his cinema to tie in with our visit to the Coronet.
